Television is no longer synonymous with the old TV show. Now we can watch our favorite channels, and
others on our smartphone or our Android tablet. We compared three television applications.
others on our smartphone or our Android tablet. We compared three television applications.
Zattoo Live TV
The application is still in beta (test version, unfinished). Some slowdowns and other small display problems are therefore reported. Names for example are too big and you have to guess which channel behind each image. The video quality of the three channels available in test varies from passable to abominable. While reading, I noticed slowdowns and problems synchronizing sound quite frequently. I guess the paid version is
better.
better.
After registering on Zattoo, you get access to over 50 channels. If you opt for the subscription "Zattoo HiQ", from € 3.75 per month, you will receive a high quality image and you will see more advertisements appear when changing channels.
A note that Wi -Fi is required, national TV on the train or while roaming still belongs to the future.
SPB TV
SPB TV offers over 100 channels from 20 countries, including French channels of course. The video quality is superior to that of Zattoo, but largely depends on the device used. You can sort the channels as you wish, in some off for clarity, etc ... The interface is not really "beautiful", but does its job and the display is correct on my Nexus 10.
Failure SPB TV is a choice, French private channels are rare, and a subscription to change anything. A short advertising message will be broadcast between each channel change.
Bell TV
Bell TV is one of the three that I loved the most: the interface is very well designed and ergonomic and traditional French chains are all waiting for you. One can simply browse through the channels. Program alerts to not miss your programs. Online tv ne trecorder allows you to record your shows, so you can watch them later, even without an internet connection. In addition, no registration required.
You will understand, Bell TV is my favorite, and I highly recommend you take a look at the video as well as the interface quality is well above SPB TV and Zattoo. Note that the translations of French menus are just simply very bad.
Conclusion
I was rather surprised by the small number of TV applications available for tablets and smartphones . Of the three applications tested, only one comes out: Beautiful Television. I may be missing something, and if you have any other advise me, please!
